DUNYT is an app that connects people who need help with work (Employers) with people who do the work (Helpers). This policy explains what information DUNYT collects, how it is used, who can see it, and the choices you have. "DUNYT", "we" and "us" refer to [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], the operator of the app.
Information you give us
- Account: your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us.
- Profile: your name, profile photo, city and state, a short bio, the languages you speak, and, if you hire, a business name, business type and the trades you hire for.
- Helper details: trades and skills, years of experience, whether you have transportation or your own tools, a daily rate, and the days you are available.
- Optional details: phone number, street address, birthdate and sex. You choose whether your phone number is shown on your profile. Your street address, birthdate and sex are not shown to other people; your age may be shown instead of your birthdate.
- Activity: jobs you post, applications, invitations, schedules and assigned work days, work you log or confirm, payment records you mark as paid or received, reviews, messages and photos you send in chat, saved helpers, crews, and posts in community areas.
- Support requests: what you write when you report a problem or send feedback.
Information from your device
- Photos and camera: only the photos you choose to upload as a profile picture or send in a chat.
- Contacts (optional): if you turn on contact matching, the phone numbers in your contacts are compared with DUNYT accounts so you can find people you know. The numbers are used only for that comparison and are not stored. You are only findable this way if you turn on contact discovery for your own number.
DUNYT does not use advertising, does not sell your information, and does not include third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use information
- To run the app: create your account, show profiles and jobs, match Employers and Helpers by trade, availability, language and city, and deliver messages and in-app notifications.
- To keep work records: logged work, confirmations and payment marks so both sides have the same history. DUNYT does not process payments.
- To keep the service safe: enforce blocking, prevent abuse, and respond to reports and support requests.
- To send account emails, such as sign-up confirmation codes and password resets.
Who can see your information
- Other users can see your public profile: name, photo, city, bio, trades, languages, ratings and reviews, and, if you choose, your phone number. Hidden profiles do not appear in search.
- People you work with can see the jobs, schedules, messages, work records and reviews you share with them.
- Blocked users cannot contact you or find you through search or contact matching.
- Service providers that host and run DUNYT for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, hosted in the United States) and our email delivery provider. They process data only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users or others.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account, or by following the steps on our account deletion page.
When you delete your account, your profile, contact details, address, preferences, messages, uploaded photos and other personal content are deleted or anonymized, and you are signed out on every device. Work and payment records you share with other people (dates, amounts and confirmations) are kept so their history stays accurate, but they are shown as "Deleted account" and are no longer linked to your name.
Your choices
- Edit or remove profile details at any time in the app.
- Hide your profile from search, hide your phone number, and turn contact matching on or off in Settings.
- Block people, and report problems through Settings → Support.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your information. Contact us to make a request.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections and protected by access rules so people can only read what they are allowed to see. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
Children
DUNYT is intended for adults aged [18] and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
